Initial Follow-Up Care

When you are fitted with new hearing instruments, we normally like to see you for a “checkup” one week to 10 days after the fitting. This allows us to make sure you’re getting accustomed to hearing better, and to make any adjustments that may be needed after you’ve begun wearing them out in your world. It is not uncommon to have one or two visits beyond the initial fitting for such adjustments.

Hearing Aid Repair and Maintenance

We want to keep you "on the air!" Even the most advanced hearing instruments won't provide benefit if they are not working properly.

Today's digital hearing instruments are actually mini computers that are worn in a warm, moist place all day and evening. Like other electronic devices they don't like moisture, so regular care and maintenance are vital to keeping them working opimally. It is important to clean your hearing aids regularly at home (we'll instruct you how). We also recommend a deep cleaning and hearing aid checkup in the office a minimum of twice per year, to ensure they are working properly for best performance.

Outside of regular cleanings, if at any time you feel your hearing instruments are not performing properly, just call our office and come in for service. We stand behind our products. Often it can be something minor that we can take care of in our office, but if it needs to go in for repair, we’ll take care of getting it out and returned to you like new as quickly as possible.
